Back to Trinity 5000

COX RACING SERVICES specializes in mid-sized to smaller races of up to 600 participants. We will help an event's race committee to organize volunteers, if necessary, as well as design the course. We will provide finish line equipment -- display clock, finish-line chutes, finish-line scaffolding, finish-line banner, etc.

On race day, we will designate the locations of course monitors or signs and water stops. We'll position mile-split callers at each mile mark. We will also provide traffic cones on the course.

Cox Racing Services specializes in Pull Tag timing. For races of a small number of participants (fewer than 600), or races of long duration resulting in finishers being spread out along the course and at the finish line. For races with a larger number of participation or races of shorter duration resulting in a high number crossing the finish line close together, chip-timing might be more suitable.

The Pull Tag system is ACCURATE, RELIABLE, EFFECTIVE and COST EFFICIENT. Each participant wears a bib number with a pull-off tag attached to it. The participant's information, such as name, age and gender, is written on the bib number. As a participant crosses the finish line, his/her time is recorded manually using Chronomix timing devices. Finish line timers record times for all finishers. The times are then matched with the bib numbers.

Finish line volunteers obtain all the bib numbers by tearing off the pull tag after participants cross the finish line. They place the pull tags in order of finish on a stringer. Cox Racing Services tabulates the results and sorts them for the award presentations.

If there are any inaccuracies in the results, participants can inform Cox Racing Services personnel and any necessary adjustments can then be made for the final results.

Cox Racing Services will publish the tabulated overall and age-group results accurately in a timely manner and either fax or e-mail the results to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Dallas Morning News and Clines Running Corner (www.clinesrunning corner.com).

Thanks for your interest in Cox Racing Services. We will endeavor to do our best to ensure your event's success.
