Summer Series Weekly Runs

Welcome to the
Trinity 5000
weekly summer series
in Fort Worth

Ricky Cox began the popular Trinity 5000 evening weekly summer series to help runners maintain their fitness over the hot months. The series features a 5K and a free kids' 1K.

The free Kids' 1K is popular not only for kids but those warming up for the 5K.

Runners head out on the Trinity Trails for the weekly Trinity 5000 runs.

The 12-race series is conducted on the Trinity Trails. Runners can amass points by their age-division showings, and challenge for series-ending awards. The final race will serve as a tie-breaker if needed to determine series winners in divisions. Age-division awards (three deep) are presented after each race.

The race site is located off 600 Woodward Street/500 N. Henderson Street (near the Haws Recreation Center and the Fort Worth Fire Training Center). Runners and race walkers of all levels from the Dallas-Fort Worth area gather for this summer series. After the run, many stick around to visit with old friends and meet new ones. Many are members of the Arbor Society (formerly the Bridge Club) who have been socializing for years. So, bring your lawn chair and cooler with your favorite beverages and join the fun.
